T minus 2 days

So here we are two nights out from the commencement of Tour de Tanner, also known as our 6 week adventure of Europe. We are all pretty much packed, yet every time Rod thinks about it I hear "babe can you wash this please?" Seriously, how much stuff are we taking?

In the midst of printing our itineraries and back up copies of passports to leave with Mum and Dad, I had to slip in a last minute trip to the dentist for a toothache! While checking it out Dr Steve said good news, I think you might be clenching your teeth while sleeping due to pre trip stress. Hmmm, smart man Dr Steve.

We'll be blogging while we're away and this is hopefully where some of you will come to check out our activities.

It dawned on us both how important this trip is for us as a family, to reconnect and bond after what has been a massively challenging year for us. Just a few months ago we were at the hospital in shifts and at night clinging to each other with fear about Miss 13's health battles.

To get on the plane is a celebration of how far we've come and we will all probably breathe a big sigh of relief. Can't wait. Bring on first stop - London.
